Ginny assembled an 8 drawer dresser for me start to finish in only one afternoon! I can't say enough good things about her. She made a task that would have been incredibly difficult for me, so so easy. Ginny made assembling the dresser into a productive afternoon thanks to her preparedness, attention to detail, and all-around positive attitude. Her process for assembly was so organized that it made working together so simple. Even when I made a mistake, Ginny was patient and helpful. Recently I was looking for a handyperson to do some small repair jobs at my 60+ year old house. I talked to several handymen before I found and hired Ginny Leary. When I met Ginny, she immediately put me at ease with her warm and candid smile. She carefully assessed the rotten boards of my old porch, clambering under the porch to look at joists and make sure everything else was safe and sound. So glad she did, as she indeed spotted some rot that I had not noticed! She explained to me clearly the work she would have to do and the materials that would be needed. She was available to do the work quickly and gave me a very fair price. We were so pleased with her work that we asked her to do another job for us: replacing some rotten boards on the door of our garden shed. There’s a lot of odd repairs around an aging house and we are delighted to have found Ginny, a handywoman we can trust, to help us maintain the home we love.

I commissioned Ginny to make me a wooden bar tool holder for my partner’s birthday. I honestly had no clue what I wanted, so Ginny was extremely helpful in asking questions, providing suggestions, and explaining what different ones could be. She was thoughtful and communicative, always making sure my preferences were front of mind and understood, ensuring each step was approved. She even hand delivered the final product to my partner’s door! She’s very skilled and a professional delight to work with. 10/10 will work with her again!

"I was feeling incredibly defeated about some furniture assembling that I could not bring myself to prioritize. Ginny didn't make me feel silly for wanting the extra support, and she was meticulous in coming to my apartment until every piece was made. The furniture itself wasn't exactly great quality, so Ginny had to be creative in developing solutions to some low quality problems. I'm so happy with how my tea cabinet and plant shelf turned out. She was also able to fix a squeaky bed that had been driving me nuts.
Ginny was easy to work with as she was communicative and positive (even when I wasn't!). I felt so much more comfortable having her building furniture into the night than I would have with an unfamiliar man. She was very accommodating of my bonkers schedule, and was able to make significant progress while I was on Zoom meetings. I would definitely recommend Ginny for your home needs - especially those you've been procrastinating fixing or assembling!"
